Walking... 🍀
Over the years, we’ve created miles of paths through our farmland and woodland for our guests to enjoy. This weekend, we took a little time to enjoy them ourselves - making the most of the spring sunshine after Storm Dave and catching up with an old friend along the way.

With lambs and calves about, Pippa stayed on her lead, but still made the most of a lovely walk in the sunshine.

Angela has just returned home after a month in New Zealand catching up with family - and what a welcome back she has had.

The Magnolias have been quietly getting on with things while she was away and are now on full show, each one looking as if it's been waiting for her return.

Witn no frost to spoil them they are as close to perfect as you could hope for. Now it's just a case of keeping everything crossed that the weather holds so we can all enjoy them at their best for a little while longer.

A walk on Exmoor is something rather special - and one of our favourite day trips from the Farmhouse.

Our top routes include the high-point at Dunkery Beacon, the dramatic coastal scenes in the Valley of the Rocks and the lovely walk around Wimbleball Lake.

With over 1000km of footpaths and bridelways there are long and short walks for everyone. And with Dulverton, the southern gateway to Exmoor National Park, less than 30 minutes away from us, it's a perfect destination when staying with us.

We're fortunate to have National Trust Knightshayes just on our doorstep.

🐣Our family‑friendly Easter Trail starts today at Knightshayes! The gardens are packed with playful challenges, from welly-wanging and an egg‑and‑spoon obstacle course to a golden egg hunt, hide‑and‑seek corners, and funny mirrors tucked between the blooms! Listen to stories along the way by opening QR codes at each station.

Inside the house, follow an animal‑themed trail inspired by Aesop’s Fables, bringing classic stories to life in a new way.

Trail packs are £3.50 per child and include a chocolate egg prize. Running daily until 19 April, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a day out together.
