The Upper Largo Hotel & Restaurant is walking distance from all our cottages, especially those in Upper Largo. Treating yourself when you are here doesn’t have to cost the earth either, with the Friday Fish and Chips for special for £10, Saturdays steak night for £19.95 and Sunday roasts for £19.95. Booking is recommended at weekends.

It may well be the Autumn Equinox and days will now be shorter than nights, but that should not stop you looking after yourself and treating yourself to a rejuvenating sauna whilst staying in Largo.

One guest arrived at Largo Castaway Sauna looking like they were carrying the weight of the world. They were uptight, tired and emotionally drained before the session, the kind of heavy fatigue that comes from always being 'on' for everyone else.

We didn't do anything complicated. They spent 15 minutes in the sauna heat, took a dook in the cold sea, did this on repeat for an hour then sat on a deckchair for a while with a couple of orange slices and homemade tablet.

By the time they finished, the change was written all over them. They left feeling re-energised and relaxed, looking like a version of themselves they hadn't seen in months. They weren't just better at their job, they were actually back in their own body.

A fresh, toasted flatbread packed with warm grilled halloumi, peppery rocket, crisp salad, and delicious flavours all brought together for the perfect café lunch. Served with our creamy homemade slaw and a side of crunchy crisps — simple, fresh, and full of flavour!

As the summer solstice approaches, why not celebrate with a wee walk, sauna and friendly chat.

Summer Solstice Coastal Walk, Sauna & Beach Campfire Experience

Celebrate the longest evening of the year with a special Summer Solstice gathering at Largo Castaway Sauna, in collaboration with Elle from Elluminate Wellness.

Beginning at 6:00 pm, Elle will lead a gentle, guided coastal walk along the beautiful Largo shoreline, inviting you to slow down, connect with nature, and embrace the energy of the solstice. Through mindful reflection and connection with the landscape, you'll have the chance to mark the turning of the season in a meaningful way.

At 7:00 pm, we'll return to the warmth of the sauna for an hour of heat, sea air, and relaxation. Enjoy the restorative benefits of the sauna while taking in the stunning coastal surroundings and sharing the experience with fellow guests.

As the evening unfolds, we'll gather around a beach campfire from 8:00 pm until 8:30 pm, where you'll be spoiled with delicious sweet treats and the chance to relax, chat, and soak up the magic of a midsummer evening by the sea.

Sunday 21st June

6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Guided coastal walk with Elle from Elluminate

7:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Social sauna session

8:00 pm – 8:30 pm: Beach campfire and s'mores

All of this is included for the price of a standard social sauna session, making it the perfect way to celebrate the Summer Solstice with community, nature, warmth, and a little seaside magic. ✨🔥🌊
