With the heightened risk of fire due to our ongoing dry conditions, please avoid using disposable BBQs where possible. Where you have no alternative but to use a BBQ, please only use it in an open area, raised off short cut grass or gravel, at least 10 meters away from long grass and hedges. As always, please familiarise yourself with fire extinguisher locations and/or have a bucket of sand or water handy. Never store a used BBQ in your unit and allow it to cool before disposing of it responsibly in the metal bin. Always take wind direction into consideration and distance yourself from flammable material/objects. Never leave a BBQ unattended. No fire pits are permitted.
