Last weekend, we were delighted to welcome back a fantastic collection of Audi R8s to Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel.

The morning air was filled with an incredible symphony of engines as the cars fired into life before setting off to explore the stunning roads, scenery and sights that Wales has to offer. It certainly turned a few heads and brought plenty of smiles!

A huge thank you to Paul for organising another fantastic visit. We always enjoy hosting the group and look forward to welcoming everyone back again soon.

💍✨ A Love Story 24 Years in the Making... ✨💍

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming David and Michelle to Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel for a three-night stay, along with a small group of family and friends.

What many didn't know at the time was that Usk holds a very special place in their hearts – it was where they had their very first date 24 years ago. ❤️

On the second day of their stay, David and Michelle secretly tied the knot in our Library, before celebrating with a wonderful meal together afterwards.

The surprises didn't end there! On 30th May, during a special birthday celebration for Michelle, the happy couple revealed their exciting news to their friends and family, making the occasion even more memorable. 🎉🥂

Congratulations, David and Michelle! It was an absolute pleasure to have you with us over the three days. Thank you for letting us play a small part in such a special chapter of your story.

We wish you both every happiness for the future and look forward to welcoming you back to Glen-Yr-Afon very soon... and please, don't leave it another 24 years! 😊💕

🎉 Ninety Not Out! 🎉

What a fantastic occasion it was to welcome Usk resident for many years and former Monmouthshire County Councillor John Harry to Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel this weekend as he celebrated his 90th birthday.

Surrounded by family and friends, John marked this remarkable milestone in style, enjoying a wonderful celebration filled with laughter, great company, and plenty of happy memories.

Everyone at Glen-Yr-Afon would like to wish John a very happy 90th birthday and congratulate him on reaching such an incredible landmark. Here's to many more celebrations to come! 🥂🎂

🇧🇪🚗 The Adventure Begins! 🚗🇧🇪

It was a pleasure to welcome the Drivers Club from Belgium to Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel as they gathered for the start of their "Rallye au Pays de Galles".

With engines fired up and spirits high, the group set off on the first leg of their journey through the spectacular roads and scenery of Mid Wales. From winding mountain passes to breathtaking countryside, they have some fantastic driving ahead of them!

🏍️🌄 Another Great Biker Stopover at Glen-Yr-Afon! 🌄🏍️

Last week we were delighted to welcome another fantastic group of motorcyclists to Glen-Yr-Afon House Hotel as they enjoyed the stunning scenery and roads of South Wales.

Using Usk as a convenient midway point on their journey to Holyhead, our guests were able to relax, enjoy some great food, and recharge before continuing their adventure.
