Spend the afternoon with us at The Royal and make a bit of an occasion of it with Afternoon Tea.

Our incredible Head Pastry Chef, Hubert Żuchowski, creates each cake and patisserie with great care, skill and attention to detail.

Alongside finger sandwiches and freshly baked plain and sultana scones with strawberry jam and Dorset clotted cream, you’ll find Pear & Caramelised White Chocolate Choux, Black Cherry Victoria Sandwich, Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake, Custard & Nutmeg Tart and Mini Macarons.

Royal Afternoon Tea is £32 per person, or you can add a glass of Joseph Perrier Ch*****ne and enjoy our Ch*****ne Afternoon Tea for £45 per person.

It’s the kind of afternoon that feels like a special treat. Beautifully made food, and a few hours to relax with tea and friends, and enjoy the occasion properly.

We’re huge admirers of Head Chef Tom Axford’s cooking, and having him at the helm of our kitchen is something we’re incredibly proud of.

His menu brings together local seasonal ingredients, the flavours he’s known for and the kind of cooking that has made him one of the Island’s most exciting chefs.

There’s handpicked local crab, slow-cooked lamb shoulder, squid ink linguine, beautifully prepared market fish and desserts including mango soufflé, lavender crème brûlée and dark chocolate delice.

It’s unmistakably Tom; thoughtful, distinctive and full of flavour.

If you haven’t tried his menu yet, now is a very good time.
