Our Story
After about four years of deliberation, we found the house we wanted to buy on the Isle of Wight and moved over in July 2017 to Gothic View, a former Methodist Church on the rural south side of the island in Chale Green. It was built in 1884 and was one of the earliest residential conversions completed back in the early 1980’s.
Throughout the autumn & winter, we have been busy redecorating all of the ground floor rooms, including the guest bedrooms, dining room and have replaced all three bath/ shower rooms & the kitchen. We have a new boiler and new central heating and have had all the windows replaced. We have tamed the garden, but it is still work in progress.
We are just finishing off the final touches so that we are ready for our first guests at the start of the summer season on 6th of April - so exciting!
