Today was the annual Round the Island Race hosted by the Island Sailing Club. The race attracts over 8,000 sailors who come to compete in a 50 nautical mile course around the Isle of Wight. Conditions were generally good, though cloudy. The promised rain held off until many would have completed the course. As always, the Beach View Apartment balcony was a great place to watch as the yachts passed Ventnor.
