Unfortunately, we can not offer random visits to the House nor Garden as we are busy restoring this grand Lady and kept on our toes in general.

The Cottage and - or apartment on the other side are sometimes rented out.

On Old Park House I will post photos of our ongoing work.

Update
1. Demo company not showed up again as promised. Now been waiting some nearly 3 months for them to continue. What was allegedly a 4 to 6 week job now 6 months and counting. Needless to say we are almost at witt's end now. They have had fair amount of us trying to contact than with no return calls - response till last week and warnings. Simply not acceptable way of treating your client.
Lots of junk left outside.

2. Stone work stopping today as the team need the reception down by demo company to continue. One jolly heavy top window beam to be installed today. Need extra hands for that.

3. Roofers were very pleased with the condition. Most lose tiles fixed. Mainly Welsh purple and grey slate. Some thicker may have been Cornish. They need to return to work on the tower. We already have permission for that. Yet the rest of the roof was luckily surprisingly sound. Celebrate... I feel we deserved a lucky break there.

The "Coachman's Cottage" is standing independently on the entrance to Old Park House (which is in private ownership).
Up till 5 persons can stay.
1 king-size bed
1 twin room
1 single bed on the landing with home office.
2 full bathrooms. 1 with shower.
Private enclosed snug garden.
FREE PARKING guaranteed during your stay.
FREE travel cot and highchair available upon prior request.

The property management company is MaD Island Services.
They deal with all enquieries before and during your stay.

The historic cosy "Coachman's Cottage"
is now re-open for holidays.
Up till 5 persons. 1 small dog permitted.
The cottage is separate from the main house.
Same old lovely warm style.
Yet lots of upgrades been made recently: New floors / TV / bathroom upstairs, newly painted and lots more done these past months.
The "Coachman's Cottage" guests have their own private little garden and free parking guaranteed during the stay.

MADIsland Services is in charge of the letting / cleaning changeover etc. So all requests to be made to them, please.

To clarify: Cottage guests will not have access to Old Park House and grounds as that is in private ownership now.
Hence, the "Coachman's Cottage" remains its own separate unit as described on AirBnB below.

For guests travelling with babies/tiny tots: Free high chair and cot available upon prior request to the service company.

When we bought this propety it appealed to me the thought of one could technically be partly selfsufficient here.
We have spring water flowing freely,space for chicken (I would not eat them though), I planted the orchard with 50+ trees, nuts in the woodland and by the wall fruit bushes and my husband got involved in creating a kitchen garden....
The herbs were the first ones I put down. I would be a nice witch. This year will add ginger as I use it frequetly with honey and lemon.
All comes in handy now. Be preparred.
Better start seeding asap.Still have kale, spinach, few potatoes, rocket,swiss chard and spinach standing...
I have refused to buy a lot in the supermarkets lately.
Yet have a pantry here with essentials for a week or two that has always been in place.
We are fortunate.

Old Park House (Grade II) is a now a PRIVATE Home on the Isle of Wight.
Georgian and Victorian.
