Would you like to stay at Rabbit Hill? Close to the renowned Polzeath beach on the North Cornwall coast.
Rabbit Hill is an unusual 1960’s modernist bungalow with a very large, open-plan, living area. Rabbit Hill sleeps 11. (+child’s bed/cot). The bedrooms are in 3 wings leading out from this central room. There are 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
The Waghorn families take their holidays at Rabbit Hill and we have a wonderful group of ‘regulars’ who also stay at Rabbit Hill each year. We generally handle the bookings for Rabbit Hill ourselves and this year we would like to offer the house to more family, friends and friends of friends. Although the school holiday periods are mostly booked, Rabbit Hill is a very special place outside of the busy times of year. Even a long weekend feels like a complete break,
The ocean side of the house has a glass -fronted terrace, so you can check the surf in your pyjamas or enjoy an evening drink whilst watching the sun go down.
The other half of the living area is wood panelled with cosy furniture set around a woodburning stove. This is where you want to be on wintery evenings.
The garden is very private with terraced lawns overlooking the sea. The top terrace, by the house, is good for outdoor games and sunbathing or eating alfresco.
For those who enjoy surfing, there is a walled garden behind the house with a hot, outdoor shower for when you come up from the beach.
Polzeath is relatively quick to reach by road, rail and air making it easy to get away for even a short time. Rabbit Hill can be booked for long weekend or mid week breaks at the less busy times of year.
In addition to 3 driveway parking spaces, there is a secure indoor double garage. The shops are a short walk across the beach so once parked up, there is no need to drive out for essentials.
For those wishing to develop sporting skills there is a surf school on the beach and a sailing school close-by in Rock. There is also golf at St. Enodoc and a health club ‘The Point’ within walking distance of Polzeath.
For exceptional cuisine there are Rick Stein’s and Nathan Outlaw’s restaurants. If you would like a home-cooked meal delivered, try phoning Cornwall Food Store. http://cornwallfoodstore.com/
Should you want an all day outing, the Eden Project is only forty minutes drive away.
