“Everything was absolutely perfect -from the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a peaceful little world of our own. The lodge was spotless, beautifully designed, and so thoughtfully put together. Every detail just added to the cosy, relaxing atmosphere. What I loved most was how completely disconnected it felt. No noise distractions just pure calm, fresh air and the kind of quiet you don’t realise you need until you experience it. It was the perfect escape to recharge and unwind. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, peaceful stay. Already wishing we were back”

“ have stayed in many lovely places in the years i have been using Airbnb but this was our favourite by far! The views from the bedroom window were spectacular with the stars so clear (even saw around 8 shooting stars) Foxes, Squirrels, Barn owls and countless other species...pure heaven! Fiona left us Tea, Coffee, Butter, Jams and Bread and Milk and she was so welcoming and warm. LOVE IT!!!”

As winter draws near and the frosty mornings and evenings are upon us, there’s something especially magical about hearing how our cabin becomes a haven of warmth and cosiness for our guests.

‘We stayed for our minimoon and it was absolutely gorgeous. Both of us agreed it was the best airbnb we’ve ever stayed in and one of the most memorable holiday locations full stop. The cabin is truly idyllic: super cosy, warm and secluded on a cold November week, surrounded by stunning scenery (the view from the bedroom alone was incredible!) There is so much to do and see in the surrounding villages, with a lovely winebar in Wadhurst, cute local shops and delis, and a great pub in nearby Ticehurst. Fiona was the perfect host - super responsive, welcoming and full of great local recommendations. Couldn’t recommend this special place more highly. We’re already talking about coming back next year.’

“Loved our stay at Tawny Owl Lodge. It was just so cozy, calm and peaceful. We walked around the estate and we loved it. Never expected such a hidden gem - initially I was a little apprehensive but the place genuinely looked better than the pictures. It was the first time I’ve experienced a stay like this and look forward to booking the place again some time again in the future for a longer stay! P.S The freshly pressed apple juice from the castle’s orchard was so refreshing after our walk around the castle!”
