Getting the oak and ash chopped for the woodburner .
An artfully stacked wood shed is a thing of beauty ,IMHO.
Then I looked up and there was a Red Kite soaring over the house, he was there a good few minutes, second time this week, I wonder if he's nesting nearby?
Little wins in a week of turmoil, had an Aircon unit fitted in the garden room yesterday and they managed to drill through the hot water pipe, thank god I was here as only I know where the stop c**k is apparently... and the hot water tank.

Loving the roses, yes that is a Hollyhock that's self seeded right by the front door ( very rarely use it) it gets no water but still manages to flower , probably a stream running below the house.

Making the most of a cooler morning, up and at 'em, Front patio swept, roses dead headed, bbq cleaned as someone contaminated the big green egg charcoal by putting coal in the bag when they were clearing out the wood shed. This turned into full on flames in the egg just before I was about to put the roast on, could have ruined the meal but I shut it down and put said spatchc**k in the oven. Toxic bbq not for me. All turned out fine.

Water feature made with an old preserving pan I bought at King Johns nursery Brocante a while ago, A cheap solar fountain off Amazon ( don't know how long that'll last) and some plants from@Jempsons supermarket, it's still a work in progress as waiting for more terracotta pots to arrive so I can plant up the trailing geraniums I managed to track down from the flower stall man in the lay-by on the way back from Wadhurst. Happy days.

Visited the amazing exhibit of George Michael at the in Saint Leonard's, it's been extended until the 23rd May.
Got quite emosh, we were very lucky to get the last 2 signed copies of Brian's book.
Saw George many moons ago at his Wembley Arena shows, he was one of a kind, miss him so much.
Then onto for our usual sisters visit. Big sis down from Nottingham.
