We are a family run working farm in the heart of the Sussex Weald, with luxury glamping, camping meadow in 70 acres of ancient woodland, cafe and shop All dog friendly, and campfires allowed!

We’re in East Sussex, tucked away in the Sussex Weald - close enough for a seaside adventure, but far enough away to properly switch off.

No manicured resort vibes… we want our guests to embrace nature, slowing down from day to day life and maybe having an adventure or two.

Welcome to Dernwood Farm. A family & dog friendly campsite immersed in 70 acres of ancient woodland in the Sussex Weald.

A working farm, a little bit wild and a place to properly switch off. 🌳

We don’t have organised entertainment or rows of cars in our camping field.
Just space to roam, dens to build, wildlife to discover and nature right on your doorstep.

We’re also very much a campfire-enthusiast campsite 🔥 as soon as government restrictions are lifted, we’ll be ready to get those fires glowing again.

We’re a family run campsite and working farm in the heart of East Sussex.

No fires? No problem. ✨

They’re such a huge part of camping here - cooking outside, sitting around the fire, toasting marshmallows and watching the flames dance under the trees.

But with the ground being so incredibly dry and the risk of forest fires so high, we just can’t take the chance at the moment. 🌳

So our lovely campers this weekend (thanks Jess! 🥰) decided to create their own evening magic… solar fairy lights, cosy tents and good old-fashioned camping vibes. ✨

It might not be quite the same, but we’re determined to make the best of it until the rain comes and we can safely get those campfires glowing again.

And.. a little fairy light glow under the trees is pretty lovely too. 💚

No fires. No BBQs. Still Dernwood.

Just summer, the woods and plenty of space to enjoy being together. 🌳
