CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA IN BLACKPOOL πβοΈ
Itβs beginning to look a lot like Christmas as Blackpool prepares to unwrap its biggest ever package of free festive entertainment starting from 19 November.
βοΈ WINTER GARDENS WONDERLAND
Winter Gardens Wonderland will offer a fantastic range of indoor and outdoor Bavarian-style market stalls, funfair rides, a Santaβs Grotto with animated reindeer, and entertainment suitable for all ages.
βΈοΈ FREE ICE SKATING RINK
The 40m-long synthetic ice rink will be free to use and includes skate hire. There will be 40-minute sessions from Thursday to Sunday from November 19 until December 17, and then daily until January 3. No advance bookings are required, simply turn up to the session you wish to attend.
β SIMULATED SNOWFALLS
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Regular artificial snowfalls will be bursting out of our special cannons near the projection unit on the Headland each evening from 19 November.
β¨ LOG CABINS
Cosy log cabins serving a range of food, drink, gifts and souvenirs will take pride of place on the Tower Festival Headland. All the traders in the charming chalets are local independent businesses.
π MAGICAL FOREST
35 pixelated trees of varying sizes will be set to four dazzling programmes as they illuminate the Headland.
π§ FROST FAIRIES
Frost Fairies is a newly-created 3D light projection show on the front of the Blackpool Tower building. It will be projected nightly along with several other projection shows until January 3.
π‘ ILLUMINATED BAUBLE
Looking for the perfect photo op? A giant illuminated bauble will be twinkling on the promenade next to the picturesque ice skating rink.
π MAGICAL EXPRESS TOURS
Blackpool Transport will be adding to the festive feel with nightly Magical Express Tours on a Christmas-themed heritage tram, guaranteed to get you in the festive spirit.
And... that's not all. Blackpool Illuminations will be shining nightly until 3 January, Blackpool attractions are still open on selected dates, and there's a sackful of shows lined up.
