Dear Brethren and Companions.
On the 25th of November Manor Lodge 4202 will be holding an Empty Chair Ceremony, the ceremony will be a poignant and heartfelt ceremony to remember Brethren who have fallen in the First World War, the fallen were all members of lodges that met at Manor Road in Wallasey.
The ceremony will consist of the usual openings. Following the openings an empty chair will be placed in front of the masters pedestal (facing west), then, an entered apprentice apron will be brought into the lodge along with a poppy wreath. This will be placed by members of Manor lodge who have served in the armed forces.
The ceremony will be held, and the fallen will seek admission in spirit.
This is an unusual and uncommon ceremony that we hope will continue through the years as a way of remembering and respecting masons who gave selflessly and paid the ultimate price.
The festive board will be an Old English Night where will continue the traditions of our ancient fellowship.
All are welcome to attend as visitors and we ask that you contact myself John Fletcher to confirm you attendance. Entered apprentices and above, are welcome.
