The traditional annual Royal Swan upping returns to the River Thames this week 🦢

Details of days and times when you can spot the Swan Upping can be found on the website https://www.royalswan.co.uk

On Friday 22nd July they will be leaving Moulsford at 9am following a route which will come through Wallingford to eventually reach Benson Lock around 10am (times are approximate and for more information please visit the website).

🦢 Swan Upping is the annual census of the swan population on the River Thames and takes place for 5 days in July. 🦢

The traditional ceremony of Swan Upping takes place in July each year on the River Thames where the Queens Royal Swan Marker, David Barber and his Swan Uppers monitor the welfare and encourage conservation of the protected mute swans.
