Just to say that after lunch on Sunday 6th September we will be closing for 12 days and re-opening on Saturday 19th September.
We have shortened our two week summer holiday so as only to be closed for one weekend and have chosen to go away out of the main holiday season when we are busiest and to go away in a quieter month.
With the pub bieng closed anyway from Sunday afternoon until Tuesday evening, us bieng away from Sunday night until the following Saturday means we are actually only closed really for 8 days.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
Thankyou for your continued support. We need our holidays and have been always been lucky enough with the staff we have had to be able to take them.
We will still be able to be contacted by email while we are away and will have the diary with us so you can still book for after we come back while we are away.

Just wanted to thank and recommend Darren Cox of White Horse Heating and plumbing. Darren, Carl and Jason came and took out a Saniflo system in our En-suite, installed a 4 inch waste pipe, ran it for quite a distance to the main waste. They then took out a bath and installed a walk in shower. Looks amazing, new floor installed as well.
We'd been using the room as a cupboard for 10 years at least as the Saniflo was so useless and the bath took forever to fill.
Great job lads and very reasonable. I've never been a shower person but love this !
Just a bit of painting towards do to finish it off!

Spaces available this evening! Lots lovely specials including vegetarian, gluten free, some lovely large rump steaks weighing in at nearly lb with a tasty woodland mushroom sauce and lots more running alongside our normal pub favpurites menu.
So if youve just arrived back from holiday or a day out and nothing in the fridge or you just simply fancy not having to cook, pop along.

Confit Belly Pork, its been resting overnight in Sea salt & Rosemary then washed off this morning and now slow roasting in its own dripping until the meat is tender and the crackling is crispy! Hopefully good to go for tonights French themed food quiz.
