🦇 An unexpected cottage guest!

Our guests woke up this morning to find a bat roosting on the gable end of the cottage! 🦇🏡

Tucked safely against the old stonework, this little visitor had found the perfect spot for a daytime snooze after a busy night.

One of those lovely little reminders of the wildlife we share our countryside with — and certainly not the guest they were expecting to meet at breakfast! 🌿

A lovely day out at Talkin Tarn 🌿💚

We explored the lakeside, stopped to watch the ducks, found some brilliant woodland sculptures and, of course, spent plenty of time at the playground and in the sand! 🦆🦢

The kids loved watching the little boats on the water too. Such a beautiful spot for a walk, a play and some fresh air — even with those dramatic Cumbrian clouds overhead! ☁️🌊

Definitely one of those simple days out that keeps everyone happy. 💚
