🏡 From Building Site to Bridge End Cottage 🏡

When we first stepped through the door, Bridge End Cottage looked very different.

There were hidden fireplaces, layers of wallpaper, piles of rubble and more dust than we care to remember! Every room needed attention, and every corner revealed another surprise.

Slowly, with plenty of hard work (and more than a few cups of tea ☕), the cottage began to take shape. The old stone fireplace was uncovered and restored, the riverside patio was created, and the character of this beautiful cottage started to shine through once again.

Today, guests can relax by the fire, enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the River Tyne, and make memories in a cottage that we poured our hearts into restoring.

Looking back at these photos reminds us just how far Bridge End Cottage has come. Every stone moved, wall stripped and hour spent was worth it. ❤️

One of the best things about staying at Bridge End Cottage is that you don’t need to travel far to enjoy Northumberland’s beautiful countryside. Step outside, follow the River Tyne and discover miles of scenic walks right from the doorstep.

It’s taking a quiet moment to stand by the window, watch the River Tyne flow by and let the stresses of everyday life drift away.

At Bridge End Cottage, there’s no rush, no schedule and no pressure – just time to slow down and enjoy where you are.
