They are absolutely beautiful little towns and there are some splendid pubs and restaurants too. Some curious little shops and the fish and chip shop at the bottom of the funicular railway is worth a visit. Not so sure about the reference to Switzerland.

St Pancras Chapel nestles in a river valley within earshot of the river Washford. On each side the landscape gently rises to meet fields and countryside. This video was taken during a walk on the side nearest Washford Station, a stop on the West Somerset Railway heritage line on which steam trains ply between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead. Even in October, the wild meadow flowers remain resplendent, especially the poppies. In the background you can hear Molly the dog chattering away.

If you’re really into fish, you might like this.

I’ll be honest, while I love Tropiquaria and have visited many times, I’ve probably spent the least time looking at the fish, compared to the cayman, tarantulas, snakes, meerkats, wallabies etc. I mean they’ve got otters! Have you ever been up close to an otter, they are adorable! They are the meerkats of the river (a bold claim, I realise, but I stand by it).
