The Cottage is a stones throw from the waterfront from which you can enjoy stunning views that change constantly with the time and tide. This peaceful spot is only moments away fro

m the bustling quay, quirky shops and the narrow gauge railway that takes you to the beach. It’s probably just as quick to walk but the train is great fun. The spacious Jolly Sailor Cottage has been immaculately restored and furnished with comfort in mind. Original Tudor features and antiques blend with modern furniture and appliances to ensure comfort for you and your guests throughout your stay. We hope that it will feel like a home away from home for couples, families and groups of up to six people. Roaring fires in Winter and a South facing garden in the Summer make this a perfect retreat all year round. The master King / Twin bedroom has it’s own decorative fireplace and looks out over the garden at the front of the house. The spacious double bedroom has inbuilt wardrobes, fireplace and a sink.

Upstairs Bathroom: The spacious corner bath and heated towel rails provide the perfect place to relax after a day at the beach or walking along the beautiful coastline. Downstairs Bathroom: Luxuriously wide bath and large shower cubicle with a separate toilet. The most delightfully quirky feature of the cottage is the Lookout. Climb the spiral staircase from the Utility Room and access a hideaway in which to relax. Step out onto the terrace to breathe in the sea air and take in the view over the rooftops to the marshes and sea beyond. The kitchen diner is newly fitted in a cream Shaker style with solid wood worktops. There is plenty of storage space in the well-equipped kitchen as well as in the attached pantry. The table in the centre ensures convivial dining in the heart of the cottage. More formal eating can take place in the elegant dining room. Accessed from the hall, it contains a handmade oak table and Welsh dresser and a large ornamental brick fireplace. The spacious lounge has comfortable seating and a large brick fireplace in which to build your roaring fire on a cold Winter night. There is a south facing cottage garden with lawned and gravelled areas as well as a courtyard to the rear. Plenty of garden furniture is provided for your use as well as a BBQ. Parking is on the seafront and is private to Jolly Sailor’s guests. Additional spaces are available opposite the cottage on a first come first served basis.

Wandered out to our bench this morning with my first cup of tea and within a few minutes had seen oyster catchers, curlew, plover, cormorant, red shark, egret ... aswell as the geese and ducks.
