The sun is trying to shine, the savoury specials are ready, and our cake bar is absolutely loaded today! Here’s what’s on the menu:

🫖 Afternoon Teas: Yesterday's went down a treat! We don’t have any booked in for today, but tomorrow is shaping up to be a busy one. We still have slots left for tomorrow and the rest of the week, so do get in touch to book your table in advance!

If you see me rushing around, it's because I'm currently trying to shorten a pair of curtains for a guest room before today's arrivals check in. The burning question: Will I get them back up on the curtain pole in time? 🫣

A weekend of two halves... 🎢

Okey dokey, you lovely bunch. We need to give you a quick heads-up about tomorrow (Sunday), because to say we’re going to be a bit busy is an understatement!

Here’s the plan for tomorrow:

🚴‍♂️ 11:00 AM: Weather permitting, we have a group of cyclists stopping by for their monthly ride-out.

🍽️ 1:00 PM onwards: Our indoor dining spaces (Dining Room, Shepherd’s Hut and the Snug) are fully booked.

🎪 Walk-ins: Don't panic! If you’re passing by, we can open up the BBQ Hut so you can still grab a spot.

A quick, honest note from us... today we had just 6 customers, one day last week we had only 4 and tomorrow we are packed to the rafters. Whilst we are prepped within an inch of our lives for tomorrow and appreciate that every business will have quieter days, the "feast or famine" trend is scary for a small business. It means the footfall is too unreliable to employ anyone else in the Tea Room. I work really long hours baking my heart out every week and we want to be here for you and our family. It's our home too.

We really appreciate how tough things are for everyone... and how rubbish the weather is right now... and how bonkers the state of our local roads are... but if you love what we do, please don't just save us for a special occasion. Every single coffee counts🥰

Safety, but make it look good! ✨

We’ve just had these custom allergen labels printed up to make sure our customers are kept safe and sound. How amazing do they look? Much better than the generic ones we used previously.

Huge thanks to St Andrews Press for such a speedy and professional job at a respectable cost. They have an eco friendly ethos too so if you need any printing done, we can highly recommend them! 🙌

Yep, you’ve guessed it—our doors are closed today while we take a little breather.

But don't worry, you can still get your cake fix! We have some bakes heading over to Wells & Horrington Cricket Club today for Horrington Day. 🎂🏏
