There is something incredibly special about the character of a sympathetically converted old barn.

When we transformed Beanacre Barn, preserving its traditional Somerset soul and character was our priority. From the striking exposed beams, the beautiful oak-framed wall and the hand carved door latches to the traditional flagstone floors underfoot, these original features create a wonderfully warm, relaxing space. It is a peaceful, spacious home from home where modern comfort meets rustic charm, perfect for a quiet escape for two.

While the rest of the world seems to be getting louder, Beanacre Barn remains a sanctuary of absolute calm!

If you’re looking for a summer escape but want to avoid the 'school holiday' bustle, we have a rare opening for you. Because we are strictly for adults (and over 12s) and a pet-free zone, the only 'noise' you’ll have to contend with is the local birdsong in your private walled garden.

Imagine:

* Slow mornings with coffee on the patio.
* Easy, single-level living in a beautifully converted barn.
* Exploring the Mendip Hills or the quiet corners of Wells Cathedral, just 4 miles away.

Stroll to the Local Village Pub

It’s a glorious May evening here in the village of Binegar, on the Mendip Hills in Somerset. The idea of a stroll along the public footpath leading from Beanacre Barn, 500 meters to our local village pub, is very inviting. The footpath takes you through our 'wild' orchard, over an ancient stone stile, through a kissing gate, past the village church to the Horse and Jockey.

There is simply nothing quite like leaving the car behind outside Beanacre Barn, taking a leisurely walk on a warm evening, and settling down for a crisp local cider and a hearty meal.
