Firstly, the team at the Crown at Wells would like to welcome onboard our new Head Chef Gyula Sandor

Introducing Gyula who started his passion for food at the early age of 14 working in a professional kitchen.
Gyula has since achieved over 21 years experience in the hospitality industry including working in European countries. For over 5 years Gyula was involved in organising prestigious events including weddings at an award winning venue “Camberwell Park”.

Prior to joining the Crown at Wells, Gyula was an executive chef for a well known local holiday resort.

Gyula is very passionate about the quality of food, presentation and locally sourced produce using fresh seasonal ingredients.
On a Wednesday and Saturday (local market days) Gyula can be seen visiting local stalls sourcing fresh and locally produced items.
On the days, he offers a speciality dish alongside our classic dishes in which he has modernised with his own twist and signature.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Crown at Wells in the exciting and changing times.
