We are taking 2019 bookings now for our apartments in wonderful West Bay in Dorset.

HARBOUR SCENE, as shown here that overlooks the harbour.

JURASSIC VIEW..with views overlooking the sea and famous cliffs.

Both have balconies, on second floor served with a lift. Own parking.

Children are welcome but sorry not pets.

Lovely WEST BAY today.

The scallop boat returns from sea but unfortunately he hasn't any scallops for my tea Such a pity as they are truly delicious.

Electric Palace . Bridport

Tonight we listened to a very interesting talk by Charles, Earl Spencer. He told us all about King Charles II, the one that hid up an Oak Tree! He also mentioned the time the King visited Charmouth and Bridport.
Afterwards he signed his book "To Catch A King". We are so lucky to have such interesting people visiting our area.

WEST BAY...This afternoon catching herrings off the pier. Caught loads on small hooks. Gave some away, ate some and still have some in the freezer for another day!

Bass are often caught in West Bay, Dorset.

Once you have landed the fish this is how to cook it...

1. Remove the large scales and cut off the head.

2. Clean out the gut leaving it looking clean and make deep slashes in the flesh.

3. Place it in large roasting tin that has been lined with plenty of foil. As it has a delicate flesh, fill the belly with parsley sprigs, slices of lemon, season well and add a little white wine or lemon juice.Dot inside and out with plenty of butter.

4. Pull the foil over the fish and bake in a medium hot oven for 40 minutes or until cooked. You can test it's done if the flesh gives a little.
