🐴🌊 This photo of our wonderful horse swimming in the sea was our most viewed post this year, and it got me thinking...

I'd absolutely love to holiday with our horses Dollar and Gizmo. I'm seeing more and more holiday properties on the mainland offering exactly that. Beautiful cottages with stunning views, accommodation on farms and livery yards, and peaceful rural retreats where both owner and horse can enjoy a break together.

It made me wonder... do we have anything like this on the Isle of Wight? 🤔

At Wight Escapes, we'd love to find unique properties that offer something a little different.

Whether it's a holiday cottage on a farm, a property on a livery yard, or somewhere with grazing, stables and fantastic riding nearby, we'd love to hear from you.

🏡 Sometimes being the guest reminds you why the little things matter…

This week I headed over to the big island for HOYS with my daughter and a friend. We’d booked an apartment for two nights, excited for our little trip away.

Unfortunately, when we arrived, the property simply wasn’t clean or ready to welcome guests, and we ended up having to find somewhere else to stay.

As frustrating as it was, it really made me stop and think about what we do at Wight Escapes. 💙

We hand-pick our properties and have an amazing team behind us who genuinely care about the experience our guests have. From how a property is presented to those all-important finishing touches, we want you to walk through the door and feel that your holiday has begun. 🏡✨

Because when you’ve travelled, packed, planned and looked forward to your break, a clean, welcoming home shouldn’t be an added bonus. It should be a given.

It certainly reminded me just how proud I am of our Wight Escapes team. 💙
