Relax by the cosy Wood Burning Stove after a wet wild walk in the Winter or treat yourselves to a barbecue in the garden in Summer, or sitting comfortably in the newly extended kitchen, with access directly into the back courtyard.

Very pleased to have achieved Super Host from Airbnb! Quite an achievement with a 300 year old cottage! Thank you to the many guests who have shown us their aopreciation by writing nice reviews. We always do our best to please our guests. Our location does help, especially when the sun shines!

Rose Cottage is so well named! Looking its stunning best at the moment and plenty to pick too.

I have just lost my booking for October Half Term which is bad news heading into the winter months. If anyone is interested please DM me! It can be a beautiful time to visit and not so busy as the summer. Excellent for enjoying our coastal walks.

The Summer rolls on and Rose Cottage’s roses have never looked better!

The weather has been glorious for more than a month and Rose Cottage guests have so enjoyed the cottage, its garden, the beach and our wonderful walks. The BBQ has been in constant use.

The school holidays are still a long way off but the season is well under way. Next year’s bookings are looking good. Never too early to secure a stay in this lovely place.

Everything ready for a new season after a full winter refit. Everything painted, a completely refurbished shower and new carpets too. We had hoped to replace some of our windows but because we are Grade 2 listed and we are in a Conservstion Area, we are have a lot of preliminary discussions with the Planning Authority! Hopefully we will be ready to proceed by Autumn!!

We have been closed for the past month doing essential repairs after a long busy summer. We now have a fine new ensuite shower to replace the old one which was causing us problems. It has been tense and stressful with such a special time as Christmas our deadline. We did it and are all ready for our Christmas guests who arrive tomorrow. Rose Cottage makes a really special Christmas with its old world charm, formal dining room (as well as a spacious family kitchen with double oven for that Turkey and all the trimmings) and above all the wood burning stove! We even had snow last week, rare for us, but sadly that’s all gone.
