🌳 Parks & Grounds Update – March 2025 🌳
To check which parks and open spaces we look after please view our website here: https://wsm-tc.gov.uk/our-services/parks-play-areas/
Our incredible Grounds Team have been working tirelessly over the past few weeks.
We’re pleased to report that the team is now nearing completion of the improvement works at Ellenborough Park West and East. These improvements will help reduce incidents of anti-social behaviour and discourage the er****on of tents. It’s a real testament to the dedication and effort of our team!
But that’s not all, the team has also been hard at work preparing the Water Adventure Play Park for its reopening on the 5th April. A lot of effort has gone into ensuring that the park will be in top shape for visitors to enjoy. Some of the work they have completed there is:
◾️ Oiling the VIC (Visitor Information Centre) and Clara's kiosk to protect and enhance the woodwork
◾️ Mowing the grass, strimming, and tidying up the site to keep it looking its best
◾️ Litter picking to make sure the park is clean and welcoming
Over the coming weeks, they’ll be:
◾️ Completing the final touches at Ellenborough Park West and East
◾️ Painting the ‘In Bloom’ boats on the Queensway roundabouts
◾️ Continuing with grass cutting at Milton Road Cemetery and our play areas
◾️ Supporting funeral services with care and professionalism
◾️ Managing bin collections to keep our open spaces clean and tidy
◾️ Continuing the installation of gates at various play areas to improve safety and security
A huge thank you to the Grounds Team for their hard work ☺️
