❗ Tonight's firework display - event cancellation.

We have been monitoring the weather conditions and due to the very strong winds and gusts, we have taken the decision to cancel tonight’s fireworks event. The fireworks are fired from a boat out in the bay, and the sea conditions mean it is not safe for the barge to go out in this weather.

Thank you for your understanding, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please share to spread the word 🙏

🎆 MONDAY NIGHT MEANS FIREWORKS IN WEYMOUTH! 🎆

Weymouth’s weekly Monday night summer fireworks continue on Monday 17th August, with another fantastic evening of entertainment on the seafront before the traditional fireworks display at 9.30pm. 🎇

🎤 AIR’s Dave Goulden will be your compere for the evening, keeping everyone entertained and building the atmosphere ahead of the display.

🎵 8pm–8.30pm – Rock Choir Weymouth, led by Stacey Hobday, will be giving one of their fantastic performances.

🎭 8.30pm – Punch and Judy will entertain the crowds with a traditional seaside show.

Also joining the evening will be Weymouth Lifeboat Fundraising, Weymouth & Portland Lions Club and the Pineapple Project.

🚗 Parking: The Pavilion Car Park and Pavilion Forecourt will be closed between 6pm and 10pm, with all other town centre car parks open.

🚌 Extra double-decker late services will operate on the number 1 to Portland, number 2 to Littlemoor and number 4 to Preston via Overcombe.

Young people aged 5–15 can also travel FREE on participating buses throughout August as part of the Government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme.
