Wonderful news for Weymouth 🌊☀️

We’re so lucky to have such a beautiful coastline on our doorstep, and it’s fantastic to see Weymouth recognised once again with the prestigious Blue Flag Award for its beach. Clean waters, golden sands, safe swimming, and a stunning seafront — it’s one of the many reasons guests fall in love with Weymouth year after year.

From early morning walks along the bay, to fish & chips on the harbour, live music, paddleboarding, swimming in the sea, and watching the sun go down with an ice cream in hand… summer in Weymouth really is special. 🎶🐚🌊

If you’re thinking about a seaside escape this year, now’s the perfect time to plan your stay.

🎊 Good news Friday!

🏖️ 🙌 We are delighted to share that Weymouth Beach has been awarded the prestigious Seaside Award for summer 2026, as announced by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy. The Seaside Awards are designed to raise standards across England’s coastline and inland waters, while shining a spotlight on the country’s top beaches. These awards are the only way for the public to be assured that beaches are delivering a safe, clean and well-managed space for them to enjoy.

💬 Welcoming the news, Cllr Ryan Hope, Chair of the Environment and Services said: “We are delighted to have received the prestigious Seaside Award once again. Weymouth Central Beach remains a wonderful asset for residents, and its award-winning coastline, paired with a vibrant programme of events, continues to attract visitors year after year. We are immensely proud to care for and maintain this beautiful stretch of the Jurassic Coast for everyone to enjoy.”

🙏 We would like to say thank you and well done to our team for their consistent hard work and commitment to help make Weymouth Beach a great place to visit.

🚂 A Proper Dorset Day Out… Steam, Scenery & Seaside Charm

If you fancy something a little different during your stay, we always love recommending a trip to the beautiful Swanage Railway. There’s something quite magical about stepping aboard a traditional steam train – the gentle chug of the engine, the smell of coal in the air, and those sweeping views across the Purbeck countryside. It’s one of those experiences that slows everything down (in the best possible way).

The journey runs through some of Dorset’s prettiest spots, including views of the iconic Corfe Castle, before arriving in the charming seaside town of Swanage – perfect for a wander, a bite to eat, or even a little paddle if the sun’s out.

It makes for a lovely relaxed day from Weymouth, especially if you enjoy a mix of history, scenery, and something a little nostalgic.

✨ A little tip from us – pair it with a coastal walk or a good seafood lunch and you’ve got a cracking Dorset day.

First trip out on the boat this year. The harbour was lovely and calm this morning — although the boat definitely needs a clean after the winter!

Back to reality later as we’ve got Dirty Dancing lessons tonight with our TC Jive & Stroll class. Sea air by day, dancing by night… not a bad way to spend a Thursday

As 2025 gently comes to a close, we’ve been reflecting on the quieter moments that make life here so special.
Early morning light over the sea, peaceful walks along the shore, time to breathe, pause and simply be.

Thank you to every guest who shared our home this year — whether it was over breakfast chats, coastal strolls, sunsets, or those lovely moments of calm that stay with you long after you leave.

For us, it’s always been about creating a place where you can truly relax, reconnect and feel at ease — a real home from home by the sea.

We wish you a peaceful, healthy and joy-filled 2026, and hope to welcome you back to Weymouth before too long.

With warmest wishes,
Ian & Tracie 🤍
