Well campers it's been a while since our last post, but as per everywhere else, it's been gloriously sunny and baking hot! As such were asking visitors not to have open fires, fire pits or BBQs as the risk of fire in Dorset is extremely high.
But never mind that, look what started tonight? Free music on the beach every Tuesday and Thursday right through August. And whilst we were sitting on the warm sand eating fresh, hot sweet doughnuts and watching the paddle boarders and swimmers, the sun set behind the band on another beautiful summer's evening in Weymouth.
Every Thursday is the car show along the Esplanade, you can look at the hotrods, American cars and vintage vehicles, then at the weekend, beach volleyball. Why would you be anywhere else?

Weymouth at 9.30 this morning, the sea was warm and crystal clear, hot sandy beach, followed by the breakfast of champions.....❤️

So much going on in Weymouth this weekend....why would you be anywhere else?

📢 just announced - we are delighted to confirm that we will be welcoming a Spitfire Mk 5 (AB 910) , which will pass the Weymouth War Memorial three times at around 11am.

The aircraft was built in 1941 in Birmingham, and in 1944 was allocated to 402 Sqn Royal Canadian Air Force for the policing of the D-Day beaches. Throughout its life, the Spitfire clocked up 143 operation sorties or missions. We are really looking forward to this, and would love to see your pics - email [email protected] if you capture the flypast through your lens! 📸

Almost everyone is out for the day so an ideal opportunity for some grass cutting, and what a beautiful, still misty morning it's been. Shame it's June and should be sunny!! 🤣
But never mind that, the overnight damp is making the grass and the plants absolutely lush. Roses, acanthus, the huge thistle, )a timely flower of Scotland, haway the lads! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 💙) the fig tree is putting on massive growth.....and that's brought out the tiger moths, the magpie moths and the insects in turn have brought the birds. Swallows up high nesting in the stables, the mower being chased by robins and blackbirds..... What a place to be. AND I made him leave the one little flowering poppy in the drive when he was weeding, see if it's still here when you get here 😁
It's getting busy, it looks peaceful because it is, but spaces are being booked up and we're glad of it. If you fancy a spot in a lush green field, give Gary a ring

Well this was something a little bit different and very special! As we walked up to the farm this beautiful, haunting tune reverberated round the hills and piped dus onto the site. Thank you to our lovely customer, such a treat! If you could stand outside our house at about 6am you could be my wonderful alarm call ❤️

Check the page for opening times but if you like a rummage, like collectables, like vintage toys, this is a nice little find, tucked away but worth the visit.

To an extent Google Maps is correct but the gate for that side is always locked and often blocked either side

Should have been grass cutting today but an appointment took me into town briefly. Whilst I waited for small boy to finish, I headed for the beach.....
Easterly winds keeping the temperature manageable on yet another stonkingly glorious May day in Weymouth
Spaces available in our quiet little field so call Gary to be 2 miles from this lovely beach....

And just like that, bookings are picking up. It's been a slow start, the weather has been changeable, the wind has been quite brisk ... But we're looking forward. Forward to the cloudless blue skies and warm sunshine we're forecast for the Bank Holiday (🤞) and to all the fabulous things that Weymouth puts on during the season.
