The Lawrence of Arabia Hotel opened its doors in 2022 as a uniquely themed hotel that offers historic charm and the luxury and ambience of a bygone age. This Grade II listed Georgian hotel has been decorated and furnished in the Art Deco style with notes of the Middle East in homage to the hotel’s namesake, T.E. After his famous contributions to the Arab Revolt, Lawrence came to live a quiet life
in Dorset, where he lived until his death in 1935. The Lawrence of Arabia Hotel is still being lovingly refurbished and upgraded, with a further six rooms to open later this year. We hope to expand the hotel facilities and offers to include historical talks, guided local bus tours, function hire, and a tea-room and bar in the Sea View Lounge, which will open to residents and visitors in the near future. So step back in time and enjoy the luxury and ambience of a bygone age in style by choosing a relaxing stay in one of our themed rooms. Each guest bedroom is individually styled to express different facets and interests in the life of T.E. Lawrence and his friends and associates known throughout his lifetime, including many famous authors, artists, poets, politicians, aristocrats, Kings and Queens as well as family members, neighbours and fellow servicemen. We wish you a warm welcome, and hope that you enjoy your stay.
