Lovely village of Cutcombe and Wheddon Cross. Great central location for a truly Exmoor holiday.
Wheddon Cross | The highest village on Exmoor.
Fields drop away in every direction from Wheddon Cross, a proper working village sitting around a thousand feet up where the roads to Dunster, Exford and Dulverton all meet.
Most people know it for Snowdrop Valley in February, but in late summer it is all green pasture, deep lanes and the long climb north towards Dunkery Beacon, the highest point in Somerset.
Stand up here on a clear evening and half the county is laid out below you.
Have you driven over the top at Wheddon Cross?
