Holiday Club this week!

It’s HOT!
Please make sure children are wearing trousers, t shirts and trainers.
Long trousers seem hot but they stop straw rash from the bale climb and the hay bales seats on the tractor ride. Up at Forest school they help to prevent ticks. We have never had any ticks but long trousers help and really help against stinging nettles. We don’t cut the orchard grass in May so the grass is long and the children like to run and hide in the grass so again long trousers help against grass rash.
We have fresh drinking water on tap so a refillable drinks bottle is a must have.
We plan to play water games if the children want to and the trees work well to shade us all.
Please put sunscreen on your children before they arrive and put spare in the bag for them.
We will keep them hydrated and in the shade!x

This month our goats are due to have babies! And although they are not due to the middle of May they still need lots of fuss made of them.
Up at camp there is lots to do in our organic garden and we will be toasting some marshmallows as requested by the children.
Plus we have our straw bale climb back for us all to play on!

Our Bale climb is back, tractor & trailer ride is back so we can go out to the fields to see the cows and calves and the ewes and lambs!
Up at Forest school w will be cooking up some yummy treats to eat, helping in our forest school garden, den building and making arts and crafts!

Easter Holiday club!!
What a busy week the children all had!!
They were gardening, feeding lambs, cuddling bunnies, making bunnies, cooking on the fire, playing, Easter egg hunt every day, making lots of new friends and reuniting with friends who only see each other here at Green Tree Adventures!!

Our next holiday club dates are 28th & 29th May for the primary school age and the 27th of May for the year 7-year 11 age group!!

Also keep close eye on our page as the summer holiday club special price deal that runs only for a very limited time will also be up to book onto at the beginning of May!

Our lambing course at the weekend was a great success!
On both days we had the opportunity to lamb a ewe, learn how to skin a lamb for adoption, tag new born lambs, learn why we dock some lambs tails and why we don’t do all the new born lambs and find out about the different breads of sheep we have on the farm.
Our amazing learners were all such wonderful, kind and super keen to learn group that made the weekend very special.
To be with people who have a love for the countryside and want to learn and understand about how organic farming works and learn about lambing was a privilege to be with them.
They all got to feed our bottle fed lambs and have lots of cuddles with the new born lambs too!

If you are interested in spending a day or afternoon with us farming and learn as we go, do get in touch.
We also do donkey walking afternoons around the farm that all end with afternoon tea and cake.
