From tomorrow, Whitby comes alive for three fantastic days of excitement! Expect thrilling rowing races, activities up on the cliff and all around the town, plus plenty to see, do, and eat. 🏆🚣‍♂️

Don’t miss the spectacular firework display on Monday evening to close the celebrations in style. ✨

Places to get a good Coffee ☕️ & Cake🍰 whilst enjoying your stay at Freyr Whitby

Great place for a coffee and gorgeous cake. Perfect for a walk in the forest … 🌳 pack your walking boots 🥾 and head over to Falling Foss, approx 15 minute drive from Whitby .. Even doggie friendly , Falling Foss Waterfall Tea Garden.
A great waterfall to see and possibly a paddle in the river if it’s a fine day ..🌞
Take five minutes to read the history board, quite interesting!
Check times and days of opening before heading down but certainly worth a visit .. 🌼 watch out for our next place to find good cake!

Are you a morning person who loves to watch a beautiful sunrise, or do you prefer to see the sunset at the end of the day? If you visit Whitby you can wander up to the west cliff and be lucky enough to experience both. 🌅

Whitby, despite being on the East coast actually faces due North, and its geography can seem quite confusing without having a map to hand. It is one of the only places where at certain times of the year you can see the sun rise and set over the sea. It’s stunning ☀️
