It’s official! The Goathland hotel is going to be renamed and rebranded as The Aidensfield Arms! A Heartbeat themed refurb is planned and with Tricia Penrose as co-owner the pub is going to be even more of a Mecca for Heartbeat fans. Just popped into the Goathland Hotel to wish the new landlord Jason Wood the best of luck with the new venture. Many of you will know Jason from his days at the Mallyan Spout Hotel and latterly the Inn on the Moor. This iconic establishment could not be in safer hands and this is fantastic news for the village and for our guests here at Fairhaven Country Guest House just 10 mins stroll away. Still pondering a last minute summer getaway?
Love the coast but not the traffic and parking?

Then Fairhaven is the answer! Park up in our large, free car park and let the train (or bus) take the strain. The NYMR are now running daily services to Whitby and Pickering from Goathland station and there is also the Coastliner bus service, a cheap but scenic 30 minute journey to the centre of the action.

Even if the coast is not your thing, Fairhaven makes the perfect touring base to experience everything that the fabulous North Yorks Moors has to offer this summer.
