We’ve got a new lager at the Fox & Hounds in Ainthorpe courtesy of 🍻 and we’re open for food and drinks everyday. This Wednesday we’ll have the England vs DR Congo match on in the pool room, 5pm kick-off.

We are delighted to welcome back the “3 Coasts” Annual Tractor Run for charity 🚜

They arrived yesterday and the tractors are parked outside and free to view until Thursday morning if you fancy popping down to take a look at some vintage tractors.

The “3 Coasts” Tractor Run began in 1996 and covers an epic 550 miles over 6 days, from Liverpool to Whitby and back, all on vintage tractors with no cabs, come rain or shine.

This is a completely self-funded, unsupported charity event, with every penny raised going directly to their chosen causes. To date, they’ve raised over £90,000 for charity and all donations this year will go towards Cancer Research and Air Ambulance.

One of the best things about staying at Fox & Hounds?

You don't need to get in the car to find views like these.

Step out of your room or glamping pod, head up onto Danby Moor, and before long you're looking out across some of the finest scenery in the North York Moors.

If you're planning a summer staycation, a few days spent exploring the moors, enjoying a pint back at the pub, and slowing the pace down for a while is hard to beat.

A small favour if you're heading out onto the moors this summer:
- Please stick to the marked footpaths
- Keep dogs on a short lead
- Give wildlife plenty of space, especially ground-nesting birds
- Under no circumstances light a fire or disposable BBQ
- Take any litter home with you and leave no trace behind

The North York Moors is a special place. Let's help keep it that way.
