The Made in Whitby Christmas Festival returns to Whitby Brewery this December! 🎄🎁

Whitby Brewery will get into the festive spirit this December as the Made in Whitby Christmas Festival returns for two days of Christmas shopping, local creativity, and live music.

Taking place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December, from 11am until 9pm each day, the festival will bring together a Christmas Makers Market showcasing independent makers, artists and creative businesses.

Visitors can browse stalls for unique Christmas gifts, support local businesses and enjoy live music throughout the day, all in the atmospheric surroundings of Whitby Brewery, just a short walk from the famous Abbey.

With festive shopping, great music, and locally brewed b**r, it promises a lovely way to enjoy the Christmas season in Whitby while celebrating the town’s creative spirit.

Illuminated Whitby Abbey returns for Halloween 2026. 🎃

One of Whitby’s most atmospheric Halloween events is returning this October, as the ruins of Whitby Abbey are once again transformed after dark.

Illuminated Whitby Abbey 2026 will take place from Friday 23 to Saturday 31 October, with spectacular lighting bringing the dramatic Gothic ruins to life against the night sky.

Visitors can explore the Abbey after dark, enjoy food and drink on site, and take part in new interactive family performances inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

The event runs from 5.30pm to 9pm each evening and suits all ages.

With Whitby’s famous Dracula connections, towering Abbey ruins and Halloween atmosphere, it’s set to be one of the highlights of spooky season in the town. 🦇🏰
