One person we're particularly looking forward to welcoming to Ryedale Folk Museum for Midsummer is Olivia Graham - Celtic-inspired folk singer. Olivia will be performing at the museum on Sunday 21 June - in what promises to be a truly magical performance.

Olivia is well known for her entrancing storytelling and multi-instrumental performances, drawing inspiration from the rich history of folklore of Britain and Ireland. She’ll perform an array of songs, selected especially for the solstice on 2pm and 5pm, included in your museum admission.

I thought id share this and bring you all up to speed with the new parking rukes which come into place in Saltburn for Motorhomes and Campervan so you dont get caught out this summer 😄

We love the Folk Museum so much , If you have the time make a trip to Hutton Le Hole you will enjoy it i am sure , we recommend it to all our Bed and Breakfast guests too and they always think its great .
The village itself is gorgeous too , take a picnic or treat yourself to a nice lunch in The Crown pub or the coffee shop , they do a fabulous hot chocolate ❤️. Browse the little shops in the courtyard and maybe pick up a souvenir or two 😄😄

We can't wait to welcome back the reenactors next weekend! Their encampment at the museum is always a highlight of our summer.

Come and say hello on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June - they'll be pitching up outside the Manor House.

Staying at Townend Farm B&B or our Motorhome & Caravan Site? Good news… you can have a full-on coastal adventure without even touching your car keys 👀

🚌 Jump on the X4 bus right outside (every 30 minutes — yes, really)
🚶‍♂️ Hop off and boom… you’re basically halfway to being outdoorsy

This month’s countryside team favourite — the Marske to Saltburn Coastal Loop — is one of those walks where you feel like you’ve made a huge effort…

…but secretly, it was all quite easy 😏

🌊 Big dramatic sea views (cue the “I needed this” moment)
🌾 Nice gentle paths (no mountain goat skills required)
🌳 A bit of woodland for that “proper walk” feeling
🍟 And Saltburn at the halfway point… purely for “refuelling purposes” obviously

And 50% here for fish & chips

🥾 Medium… but don’t worry, we believe in you
