What a summer we’ve had… sunshine, sea air, questionable amounts of ice cream (👀 Fusco Brothers Gelato) and absolutely no idea what day it is. 😂

Now we’re swapping flip-flops for layers and pretending we’re totally ready for autumn. 🍁

Here’s to September — may your skies be blue, your coffee be strong, and your “back to reality” phase be delayed just a little longer. 🥂

And just like that… it’s over for another year. 🎆

The streets are clean, the rides have packed up, and the fireworks are now just a memory. But while the Regatta may be over for another year, the hard work certainly isn’t!

The fundraising, planning and dedication continue behind the scenes to help bring Whitby a bigger and better Regatta year after year. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s event so special — volunteers, fundraisers, organisers, businesses, visitors and everyone who came along to enjoy it.

The Whitby Regatta, first held in 1833, is believed to be the oldest sea regatta on England’s North East coast. What began as a fishermen’s sailing race has grown into a much-loved annual celebration, featuring rowing, sailing, air displays, entertainment, and family events. Rich in history and tradition, the Regatta continues to bring the community together, celebrating Whitby’s unique maritime heritage. 🌊⛵🎉
