We’ve been out to discover some of the North York Moors. This buggy friendly route from Goathland to Grosmont was fab with a lovely little pub by the river on the way. Only 20 minutes from the house and into the countryside from the coast ❤️

We love getting out and about so have left some inspiration on the bookshelf for guests to use. There’s even a warm shower attachment outside to clean down without freezing in winter!

Being a family owned property, we’ve tried to remove the stress from travelling with smaller guests by providing not only a cot and high chair but also entertainment, beach bits, books, bath mats, baby bath, loo seat, changing mat and their own crockery and cutlery 👶🏻 ❤️

Plenty of availability throughout December and one of the best equipped kitchens around for preparing festive treats whether with friends or family. The tree is up and it’s the Krampus run next weekend!

We had some rather exciting waves in Whitby last weekend with waves over the top of East Pier and risk of getting wet on West if not paying attention!

If anyone fancies a bit of a gothic twist on Christmas activities, it’s the Krampus Run on 7 December!

Added important info...
This event is now a weekend festival with processions and performances across town without one main Parade as the focus.

Whitby Krampus Run is primarily a folklore performance group with membership and regulations.

Only WKR members with official identifying armbands can take part in processions and street performances and are covered by insurance for public liability.

If anyone comes dressed up as Krampus / folklore figure they are welcome to express themselves but do so at their own risk as they are not part of the main event and are not aware of the regulations and protocols we have in place.

Please help us maintain what has been 10 years of Whitby tradition based on folklore and community, by not using it as a dress up opportunity. This also helps us oversee it is an enjoyable experience for all.
