Wow ! Has anyone else got any amazing shots of this awesome storm?!?
What a way to end a Bank Holiday Weekend!!
Thankyou for choosing Broadings Farm as your Whitby holiday destination, it's been a bit of a washout weatherwise, but everyone I've seen looks like they're having a great time, and there have been some amazing pirate costumes we'd love you to share too!! 😍

Who has tried this one?
I've seen quite a few runners coming back to the campsite on a Saturday morning, a great community event! 😍

It’s and as an event we are all good to deliver Event #251 tomorrow at 9am from the Whitby School (Airy Hill site)

We have a full roster of wonderful volunteers, a scenic and freshly watered course but sadly NO Astro Café as Gill is back out on the road as part of her world tour! The toilets and changing will be open as normal 🧡

The First Timers Welcome is at 8:50am by the pink flag and please to ensure a smooth results process for all.

See you all in the morning for some more parkrun UK fun on the Yorkshire Coast.

We have a few pitches available from Sunday into next week. A few pitches are still available for next weekend, so book soon to avoid disappointment. 😍

The Bank Holiday weekend/Pirate Festival is fully booked all but a couple of Saturday, Sunday, Monday nights and into the following week.

Next week is the Whitby Folk Week, which is a great time to explore all that Whitby has to offer, (with bells on) 😉 😍

A huge congratulations to a couple of our lovely guests that came to reception this morning to tell me that they had made the most of the romantic side of this beautiful town and her boyfriend proposed to her, so we wish the very best to them in the future, and look forward to welcoming them back as Mr and Mrs. 🍾

Whitby Folk Week returns for 2026. 🎻

Whitby will come alive with music, dance and storytelling when Whitby Folk Week returns from 22–28 August 2026.

Taking place at venues across the town, the week-long celebration will feature performances from renowned folk artists and dance troupes, alongside lively music sessions, workshops and activities for all ages.

Visitors can try medieval dancing, learn to play the banjo, join fellow musicians for a session or enjoy captivating stories brought to life by talented performers.

Whether you’re a lifelong folk fan or discovering the tradition for the first time, Whitby Folk Week offers plenty of ways to get involved and experience British folk culture in one of the country’s most characterful coastal towns.

You can also see the fireworks from the campsite, if you have dogs, it's a calmer experience! 😉

WHITBY REGATTA 2026 🎡🎢🎆🚣‍♂️

(⚠️ EDIT: so everyone is aware, the rides/fairground along the pier WILL NOT be here until MONDAY 10TH - they arrive Sunday (tomorrow) evening/night if you want to watch them be driven down/constructed 👍
I just want to clear up any confusion 🙂
Still lots of events/activities on across the weekend).

🎡 The Whitby Regatta is scheduled from Saturday, August 8 to Monday, August 10, 2026, offering a variety of events including rowing races, a fancy dress parade, and a fireworks display.

🚣‍♂️ Key events across the weekend include a Sandsend to Whitby swim and rowing races on Saturday, a dog show on Sunday, and a grand firework display over the harbour on Monday evening at 9:45pm.

& not forgetting the rides that line Whitby pier on the Monday 🎡🎢🎠

There are a lot more pitches available from Sunday into next week, we have limited pitches also for the Bank holiday weekend at the end of the month.

We have lots of space available in between these times though, so don't hesitate to book. 😍

We are full for Friday and Saturday of this week for the Whitby Regatta but we still have pitches left for tomorrow and into next week.
