🎻WHITBY FOLK WEEK 2026! 🪕

Get ready for one of Whitby's most cherished annual traditions as Whitby Folk Week 2026 returns from Saturday 22nd to Friday 28th August 2026!

For a whole week, the town comes alive with the sounds of traditional folk music, colourful Morris dancing, lively singarounds, music sessions, and so much more. From the historic streets and picturesque harbour to the backdrop of the iconic Whitby Abbey, you'll find entertainment, music and a fantastic atmosphere around every corner at various locations throughout the town.

Whether you're a lifelong folk enthusiast or simply looking for a great day out, Whitby Folk Week offers something for everyone. Enjoy live performances, watch talented dancers, discover traditional instruments, and soak up the unique community spirit that makes this festival so special.

Whitby RNLI Flag Weekend returns on 25–26 July.

Whitby RNLI’s annual Flag Weekend is back next weekend, with two days of activities on the West Pier.

On Saturday, visitors can see cars from the Subaru Drivers Club, while Sunday will welcome members of NYLOC, the North Yorkshire Lotus Owners Club.

There will also be stalls to browse and the chance to meet members of Whitby’s lifeboat crew and learn more about their lifesaving work.

Every penny raised over the weekend will support Whitby RNLI and help its volunteer crews continue saving lives at sea.

Here’s how to take part:

1️⃣ Pick up your Whitby Regatta programme
2️⃣ Find the number inside
3️⃣ Look out for the matching number displayed in local participating shops
4️⃣ Show your programme in the shop with the matching number to claim your prize! 🎁

A great way to explore Whitby, support local businesses and add a little extra fun to Regatta week.
