TipSea Wines is now open on Whitby’s historic Grape Lane 🍷🍇

There’s a lovely new reason to wander down one of Whitby’s most charming old streets. TipSea Wines has officially opened the doors to its new wine shop at 1 Grape Lane, and the transformation is well worth a look.

The independent wine merchant has moved from Enterprise Way to this beautiful town-centre spot, bringing shelves of carefully chosen wines, a warm welcome, and plans for evening wine tastings.

And let’s be honest, a wine shop on Grape Lane feels like it was meant to be.

Whether you’re a wine lover, looking for a thoughtful gift, or curious to see how the building has been transformed, pop in and take a look next time you’re in town.

Flying maintenance visit for Dave today inbetween guests!

After months of restoration, planning, and plenty of hard work behind the scenes, we're delighted to announce that The Treasury Whitby will officially open its doors on 8th June.

From 8am daily, you'll be able to join us for freshly brewed coffee and cake, before enjoying premium drinks, curated wines, signature serves and bar snacks throughout the day and into the evening.

This is just the beginning of The Treasury story, with even more exciting developments to follow later in the year.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey so far. We can't wait to welcome you into this beautiful historic building and share what we've been creating.

Some of the best Whitby pubs with outdoor seating to enjoy in the sunshine. 🍻🌞

From harbour terraces to beer gardens with great coastal views, here are some of the best Whitby pubs with outdoor seating to check out while the sun is shining.

🍻 White House Inn: If you want great views and a relaxed pint, the White House Inn is a lovely spot. This family-run pub, restaurant, and guest house sits on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, overlooking Whitby Golf Club and the Yorkshire Coast. It’s also close to the Cleveland Way, so it’s a good place to stop before or after a walk.

🍻 Abbey Wharf: Abbey Wharf sits right by the harbour and is a great place for sunny days if you want views across the water to Whitby’s famous East and West Piers. You can grab a table on the balcony, order a drink, and enjoy some people watching with a sea breeze.

🍻 The Fleece: The Fleece is full of Whitby character and has a beer garden that’s perfect for catching the evening sun over the harbour. It’s a cosy, friendly pub with food, real ales, lagers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks. It’s also dog-friendly.

🍻 Middle Earth Tavern: A bit away from the busiest parts of town, Middle Earth Tavern sits beside the harbour and is a great place to visit in summer. It has a relaxed, local vibe, and a good selection of lagers, ciders, wines, and real ales.

🍻Pier Inn: The Pier Inn is a classic spot for a pint on the terrace. (If you can get a seat) It’s right by the harbour, so it’s perfect for resting your legs after a walk around town. You’ll find cask ales, pub food, and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.

🍻 Whitby Brewery: If you’re heading up towards Whitby Abbey, Whitby Brewery is the place to enjoy a drink in the sunshine. Its outdoor seating has spectacular views of the Abbey, and there are lots of different ales to try.

🍻 The Angel Hotel: The Angel Hotel has a large outdoor seating area overlooking the harbour, so it’s a handy and good-value place to stop for a drink. As a Wetherspoon pub, it’s a popular choice when the sun is shining, and it offers an affordable option in the centre of town.

So whether you want sea views, people watching by the harbour, or a peaceful pint near the Abbey, Whitby has plenty of places to enjoy a sunny Yorkshire weekend. Just remember to bring your sun cream.
