However, it’s being replaced by a bronze replica which should be in place early 2027 🤞

One of the biggest events in Whitby’s summer calendar is almost here. Whitby Regatta returns from Saturday 8 to Monday 10 August 2026. ⚓🎆

The historic event will bring three days of maritime tradition, sporting competition and family entertainment to locations across the town.

Visitors can look forward to rowing and yacht races, the Regatta Fun Run, classic vehicles, family attractions, and activities on the West Cliff. The celebrations conclude Monday evening with the prize presentation and a fireworks display over Whitby.
