Enjoy festive dining in one of Whitby’s oldest and most atmospheric buildings! 🎄
Bagdale Hall Hotel, dating back to 1516, will serve a special Festive Menu at its Heritage Kitchen restaurant from 25 November to 23 December, offering a unique setting for a festive get-together.
Originally built for the Conyers family during the Tudor period, Bagdale Hall is one of Whitby’s oldest surviving buildings, complete with centuries-old oak beams, stone mullioned windows and historic fireplaces.
The Heritage Kitchen’s festive menu offers two courses for £28 or three for £35, with a tempting selection of seasonal dishes.
Starters include roasted cauliflower, coconut and thyme soup, chicken liver pâté, crab arancini and baked Camembert.
For the main event, there’s traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings: pigs in blankets, stuffing, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Other choices include slow-cooked feather-of-the-roach of beef, roasted cod loin and a wild mushroom and spinach Wellington.
And for those with a sweet tooth, desserts include Christmas pudding with brandy sauce, mulled plum and apple crumble, Baileys profiteroles and a selection of Yorkshire cheeses.
