Mr G in action and Paula and John from Esk Valley putting their apples in for shredding before juicing.We have lots of sweet apple juice and have composted the pulp.
We have bottled lots of apple juice and pasteurised it to keep for up to 2 years. Fingers crossed for some apple c***r vinegar too.

A very special visitor to Grosmont this weekend!

The magnificent No. 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley passed through Grosmont during a special visit to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Grosmont is a lovely place to visit during your stay, where you can explore the station, watch the steam trains and discover the engine sheds. We took this video while at The Old School Coffee shop eating a slice of gorgeous Victoria Sponge!

Did you know? Before it became known as Grosmont, the village was simply called “Tunnel”, after George Stephenson’s railway tunnel built there in 1835!

Guests love the evenings at The Barn, Green End, this one was a corker. Our night skies have been spectacular too. We have available dates in October and take 2 night bookings over much of the Autumn and Winter.

We love a good review and last week’s guests wrote us a real gem. Bailey definitely deserves a mention as a firm favourite with guests and a permanently wagging tail. When not checking out with guests, he’s busy with jobs, caught here helping with some compost mixes.

One of our favourite local spots!

If you’re staying with us or visiting the area, Mary’s Sandwich Shop in Sandsend is well worth a visit. We love it there.
