Polite reminder

Hi everyone, if you're bringing your children away with you. Please make sure they don't leave rubbish around. We've had to go around a few times in the last few weeks picking cans and rubbish up. Especially around the playground. Just thrown on the ground. This is to make sure its left nice for everyone 💚
We have several bins on site.
We've also had pen mark drawings on walls left in a cottage this morning. We just ask guests to take care.

💚 We did it! 💚

We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us over the last few months.

Thanks to your generosity, we have now raised enough money to purchase the community defibrillator. Today we'll be contacting London Hearts to let them know we've reached our target and will be arranging the purchase and installation.

What began as a way to honour Dad's memory has become something that will benefit our community for years to come.

The support has been overwhelming. Alongside the funds raised for the memorial bench and defibrillator, donations received at Dad's funeral also raised:

💚 £312.40 for Whitby Wildlife Sanctuary
💙 £277.40 for the Marine Society

After reaching our defibrillator target, an additional £174 was donated through our GoFundMe. As promised, every penny of this will now be donated to the British Heart Foundation.

In total, Dad's memory has now helped raise funds for:
❤️ A community defibrillator
🪑 A memorial bench at Broomfields Farm
🦔 Whitby Wildlife Sanctuary
🌊 The Marine Society
🫀 The British Heart Foundation

We couldn't be prouder of the legacy that's being created in his name.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donated, shared our fundraiser, attended Dad's funeral, or simply offered us support during the last four months. Your kindness has brought comfort during the hardest of times.

Dad spent his life helping others, and it feels incredibly fitting that, even after he's gone, he's still making a difference.

We honestly don't know how to thank everyone enough. ❤️

The memorial bench has now arrived, and seeing it in person has made everything feel so real. It's a beautiful tribute to Dad, and I know it will become a place where people can sit, reflect, and remember at Broomfields.

Thanks to everyone's incredible generosity, we're now just £113 away from reaching our goal to purchase the community defibrillator.

When we started this fundraiser, we never imagined we'd get this close. The support from family, friends, neighbours, guests, and even complete strangers has been overwhelming.

It means so much that Dad's memory will live on in a way that not only gives people a place to remember him, but could also help save someone's life.

If anyone is able to help us raise the final £113, or simply share the fundraiser one last time, we'd be so grateful. We're so close to making this happen.

💚 Community Defibrillator Update 💚

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who has donated so far, we've now raised £1,182 through the GoFundMe! 🎉

Here's where we're up to:

✅ Memorial bench in memory of Laurie Farmer - £776 (paid for and ordered)

❤️ Community defibrillator – £950 (ordered through London hearts, which saves us around £500 with their funding scheme)

Our overall fundraising target is £1,726, and with the bench now funded, we have just £544 left to raise before we can purchase and install the life-saving defibrillator next door.

Any donations raised beyond the target, after the defib is bought and installed, will go to The British Heart Foundation.

Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to having a defibrillator available for our community. It could make all the difference in an emergency.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our fundraiser, or supported us in any way. Your kindness means so much. 💚

What an amazing start last week. Thankyou to everyone who has donated so far ❤️
We raised enough for Laurie's memorial bench and it's already been ordered!!
We are now concentrating on raising funds for a defibrillator, this is so important to us to keeping raising.
This defibrillator will be fitted at the heart of Broomfields and it could one day save a life.
