We’re delighted to introduce **Marimar Rooms**, the newest accommodation hosted by **Stay in Whitby**.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes and we’re excited to say we’ll be ready for this weekend — so if you thought you’d missed the boat for a **Bank Holiday / Pirate Weekend trip to Whitby**, please get in touch!

We have **3 double ensuite bedrooms on a room only basis available**:
🛏️ Double bed
🚿 Ensuite shower room with soap provided
🧺 Bed linen & towels included
❄️ Air conditioning
☕ Kettle & hospitality tray
💨 Hairdryer

📍 **Central location** — less than 2 minutes from the Swing Bridge
🍸 Guests also receive exclusive drinks deals at **The Endeavour** throughout their stay:

A few things to know:
⚠️ Minimum 2-night stay - £240, 3 nights £300.
⚠️ Rooms are on floors 3 & 4, so stairs are involved
⚠️ This property is not suitable for dogs
⚠️ WiFi may not be up and running for this weekend — but it’s Pirate Weekend, so there’s plenty to enjoy out and about! but it does mean the TV's may not be working.

Bank Holiday weekend is set to be full of fun, shenanigans and plenty of piratical goings-on around town for **Whitby Pirate Weekend**.

Here at **The Endeavour**, we’re delighted to welcome the **Auckland Shanty Singers** on **Sunday afternoon** for an afternoon of brilliant **piratical shanties**. 🎶 12.30-4pm.

Expect great atmosphere, good drinks, sea shanties and a proper Whitby welcome.

**What a week of live music at The Endeavour! 🎶🍻**

**Whitby Folk Week is well underway**, and we’ve got plenty for you to enjoy:

⚓ **Lunchtime Shanty Sessions** from **1pm**
☘️ **Evening Irish Folk Sessions** from **5pm**

Then from Friday evening, we’re straight into a cracking **Bank Holiday live music line-up**:

🎤 **Colin Holt** – Friday from **8pm**
🎶 **Simma** – Saturday 8pm & Sunday 4.30pm**

Great music, great drinks and a proper Whitby atmosphere all week long.

Ahoy! Whitby Pirate Festival sails back into town this August Bank Holiday 🏴‍☠️⚓

Pirates will take over the streets of Whitby this August Bank Holiday as the Whitby Pirate Festival returns from Friday 28 to Monday 31 August 2026.

The popular four-day festival will bring swashbuckling fun, pirate costumes, live music, and maritime mischief to the town while raising funds for Whitby RNLI. ⚓

Those who reckon they’re the best-dressed buccaneer in town can put their sea legs to the test at the Best Dressed Pirate Competition at Whitby Bandstand on Saturday 29 August. Dig out the tricorn hats, polish those buckles, and gather the crew. 🏴‍☠️

There’s plenty of live music on the treasure map too.

🎶 Saturday 29 August – The Captain’s Beard
Eighteen91 | Tickets £15
Expect roaring sea shanties, foot-stomping folk-rock and plenty of suitably salty tales.

🎸 Sunday 30 August – East Town Pirates
Eighteen91 | Tickets £10
The Suffolk band will bring their pirate-inspired mix of smuggling, drinking, folklore and stomping rock ’n’ roll to Whitby.

With pirates descending on the town for the whole Bank Holiday weekend, it promises to be another arrr-some few days on the Yorkshire coast.

So gather your shipmates, hoist the colours and prepare to set sail for Whitby! 🏴‍☠️⚓
