Back at Wynd Cottage during Blue Hour after an afternoon at the "Made in Whitby Festival", held at the Brewery we took the opportunity to sample some of the best products the area has to offer. We can confirm the wine from the vineyard at Robin Hoods Bay is delicious and we stocked up on the Smoked Vinegar from Whitby Sea Salt. Always something different to taste in Whitby.

We have often been asked if Wynd Cottage is listed. Answer NO, but it should be.
We have now submitted a lengthy application to Historic England and we should hear back over the coming months. The cottage has many features that the guidance for Vernacular buildings highlights as being of special interest. Re-used ships timbers, evidence of a smoke hood, early evidence of imported timber, intact floor plan, pre 1700, lightweight timber room divisions etc.
We have preserved all of this historical significance and hope a listing will help maintain it well in to the future.
