Good Morning, we always get some rain on a bank holiday weekend and last night was no exception with quite a lot of thunder and lightning. This morning however is bright blue skies and lovely. September availability this weekend - Saturday September 5th 2 or 3 nights then from Wednesday September 9th - up tp 5 mights. Schools in Whitby go back next week and September is always a busy month for us. All rooms include breakfast and guaranteed parking.

You'll be able to follow the links from our website through to Eventbrite to place your orders.

Sessions must be booked individually (there's no 'basket' function in Eventbrite), so prioritise your preferred events to avoid disappointment.

If you need to arrange additional tickets for an official companion or carer please book your paid-for ticket(s) first, then email [email protected] to arrange free ticket(s) for your carer.

Tickets are provided on a strictly first-come first-served basis, and none of our venues operate designated seating.

Most sessions are scheduled to run for 45-60 minutes plus time for Q&A and signings afterwards which could last up to an hour. Workshops are 2 hours long, the Open Mic poetry event and 'Harry Gallagher & folk duo Miggins Fiddle' will also be longer sessions.

Amazing news that the Saltburn Cliff Tramway will reopen soon. Saltburn is a great place to visit. Just up the coast from our B&B - about a 35 mins drive or the bus - x4 or 4 passes our B&B every half hour

🚋 The wait is over!

We are delighted to announce that the iconic Saltburn Cliff Tramway will officially reopen tomorrow, Friday 28 August at 10.30am.

Following a major refurbishment programme and the installation of new handcrafted carriages, visitors can once again enjoy a ride on Saltburn's most treasured heritage attraction while taking in the spectacular coastal views that make Saltburn so special.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on board! ✨

Always love an independent shop in Whitby. This shop is about a 5-6 mins walk from our B&B. Once you pay a visit you can then head and explore Skinner Street which is also great for shopping in some lovely shops.

New lick of paint! Sylvan Gallery on the left and Whitby Music on the right. Sign writing to come. Half way through FolK Week and it has been splendid 🤗 Thank you 🙏

Anyone for live music. The Elsinore Pub line up this weekend. Just down the road from our B&B - 5-6 mins walk. Elsinore is a great local pub

Starting on Friday, we've got Claire Louise from 8.45pm

Serenity Duo are back from 8.45 on Saturday

And finally, it's Anth Greenwood from 8pm on Sunday

We have availability for this coming Saturday 29th August for 2 nights. We have king size family rooms, including room 7 with its adjoining single room.

All rooms have off street parking and of course a lovely breakfast is included.

Our B&B is on Whitby West Cliff, a 5 to 6 minute walk from the town centre and Pavilion. We have six rooms and six off street parking spaces. All rooms are en-suite and includes a superb breakfast.
