Good evening everyone from a very sunny Whitby.
Here at Eskdale House B&B we have really enjoyed welcoming guests again over the last few weeks.
With 'Freedom Day' fast approaching we have thought long and hard about what changes we should make to how we do things in the B&B. Covid infection rates are still high and we want our guests and ourselves to feel safe whilst at Eskdale House. We have therefore decided to continue with many of the measures that we put in place when we were allowed to reopen after lockdown. These include enhanced cleaning; in room check-in; and at table service for breakfast.
We will continue to wear face coverings in the public areas of the B&B and we actively encourage our guests to do so.
We will, of course, continue to review the situation and will relax things when we feel it to be sensible. If any of our guests or potential guests have any questions or concerns please feel free to give us a call or send us a message.

Good afternoon everyone,
In line with the easing of lockdown restrictions we are delighted to say that we have now reopened and are really looking forward to welcoming guests again.
To facilitate social distancing we aren't initially operating at full guest capacity, and we have made some other small changes to make sure guests and ourselves are as safe as possible.
To provide peace of mind we are continuing to apply cancellation arrangements which allow you to cancel for free up to 24 hours before your stay.

Good evening everyone,
The roadmap out of lockdown presented by the Prime Minister yesterday means that if all goes well we will be able to open our doors again from 17th May 2021 - hoorah!
We are now taking bookings for the rest of 2021 from 17th May onwards. As times are still uncertain, and to give our guests peace of mind, we are continuing to apply cancellation arrangements which allow you to cancel for free up to 24 hours before your stay.
We really hope to welcome many of you here in 2021!

Hello everyone,
Obviously because of the current national lock down, we are currently closed to guests but rest assured we will reopen when it is OK to do so.
In the meantime we are still taking bookings for March onwards but on the understanding that these may need to be rescheduled or cancelled if restrictions are still in place. To facilitate this, our cancellation arrangements now allow you to cancel for free up to 24 hours before your stay.

Dear guests & friends,
As our area is now under Tier 3 Covid restrictions our B&B is currently closed. We will reopen when it is allowed and safe to do so. We can still take bookings for later in the the year when we hope life will be more normal and we have changed our cancellation arrangements so that you can cancel for free up to 24 hours before your stay.

From tomorrow (2nd December) we are in Tier 2. This means we will be open and able to take bookings from guests provided they are allowed to travel and stay overnight under the latest Covid restrictions.

Hello to all our guests and friends,
Whilst we are currently closed due to the England-wide lockdown, we will reopen as soon as we can and will continue with all the measures we have been taking to keep our guests and ourselves safe. It has been lovely to welcome lots of guests since the first lockdown was lifted.
If you want something to look forward to, why not book yourselves some time away at Eskdale House B&B for after lockdown? We have temporarily changed our cancellation policy such that guests can cancel for free any time up to 24 hours before they are due to arrive. You can book via Booking.com or give us a call!

We are delighted to confirm that Eskdale House B&B will be re-opening from 4th July.
Initially we will not be operating at full capacity, & there will be some other changes in place to make sure that a stay with us is as safe as possible. These include:
- an enhanced cleaning protocol
- at least 24 hours between bookings in each room
- table service only for breakfast, rather than a buffet
- closure of the guest bathroom (all bedrooms have en suite shower rooms)
We're thrilled that we've already received bookings for the coming weeks and we're looking forward to welcoming guests again. If anyone has any questions or concerns please do get in touch and we will do our best to help.

Hello to all our guests and friends,
Whilst Eskdale House is currently closed due to Covid-19, we wish to reassure you that we will reopen as soon as it is allowed and safe to do so.
During the lock down, we have been busy making sure that Eskdale House is in tiptop condition ready for when we can welcome you again.
We are also looking at any changes we need to make to ensure that guests are still as safe as possible when we do reopen.
